Behind the scenes

 Hello! I’m Michelle Dean and I am the artist,  designer and one woman show that is Michelle Dean Designs. AZ native born and raised, but I have traveled the country while growing my art. Recently, I moved to a small coastal town in the PNW! 

My art has had quite the evolution. I’ve been wire wrapping crystal necklaces since 2014, but I learned the art of silversmithing when Big Charlie taught me his tricks in Idaho circa 2020. I recently started lapidary work including some of my self dug stones into my silversmith jewelry. I have created thousands of pieces and vended at some of the largest gem shows in the world. My greatest accomplishment and joy in life is raising my daughter, Charli. She is 3 years old and has Down syndrome. We celebrate it everyday and I truly feel blessed to be her steward in life. I hope to launch a Down Syndrome line soon... stay tuned!

My creations are all special pieces of my heart that are inspired by a desire to connect people to crystals, each other, and share or learn healing knowledge. The interactions I have with unique individuals push me forward and keep me creatively motivated. I try to support small, local, or other handmade businesses for my materials such as silver and stones.

Some of my major accomplishments as an artist and vendor include selling at the worlds largest gem show during the 2021 22nd Street Tucson show, having my jewelry shown on Ink Masters and worn by Ryan Ashley on the daily, vending Gem n Jam festival 2018, and being one of the first vendors for the Full Moon Festival Phx.
